The Oncology Market in Japan

Cancer has been the leading cause of death in Japan since the mid-1980s.   The Japanese government takes this very seriously and brought in the Cancer Control Act in 2007 to improve the situation, spending a total of £2.4 billion on cancer control.  Naturally, both the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries regard cancer as one of their core therapeutic areas with imperative high demands for innovative technology licensing and product imports.

As part of UK Trade & Invesment’s Japan’s Oncology Campaign, this webinar provides an overview of the Japanese oncology market ahead of the Oncology Trade Mission to Japan in February 2014.

This webinar was recorded live in Tokyo on 4th October 2013 and is only available to members of the Export to Japan website.
