The Department of International Trade (DIT) hosts a set of events focusing on the UK-Japan collaborations in the 3rd country infrastructure projects.

Background

Following the bilateral business objectives agreed by the Prime Ministers of the UK and Japan in January 2019, DIT in liaison with the Japanese stakeholders has implemented a new structure to help UK companies exploring opportunities through collaboration with Japanese companies in 3rd country projects, such as transport (e.g. rail, airports, roads and ports), water, plants, energies and smart cities.

This is the subject in which other nations have also shown strong interest. It is essential that UK expertise and commitment by industry is well known amongst Japanese stakeholders in order to win against keen competition.

Who should attend?

UK companies with expertise in business services (consulting, legal services, risk management and architecture/design etc), finance/insurance, engineering etc with good experience in the 3rd country projects and a willingness to explore business through UK-Japan collaboration.
